3 Easy Dieting Success Tips
Dieting Success
1. Drink 8 to 10 glasses of water every day. Okay, this is a big problem for many people. Typically, water does not taste perfect because it does not really “taste” like anything. Drink water 8–10 times a day; the more you do it, the easier it gets. All you have to do is prepare your taste buds and yourself to make it easier.
Once you start, you will start craving water. Let’s start with the fact that you must drink a glass of water in the morning before eating. This is probably the most accessible glass you can drink all day, and it will help you remember to drink water throughout the day. Better yet, why not have two drinks? If you cannot stand the taste of water, try purifying the water using a pitcher or filter. Add a few drops of lemon or lime to the water, but no sugar or sweetener! Ice also helps.
2. Eat breakfast, and do not skip breakfast. If you need to go to bed a little earlier to wake up 20 minutes earlier every morning, do it! Breakfast is very important for health and weight control. Not only does breakfast help with overall weight loss, but it also helps you stay on track throughout the day. If you skip breakfast, you are more likely to eat something sweet and fall into the “bread” group.
You can always keep a couple of boiled eggs or fruit high in fiber and low in starch in the refrigerator. If you plan to eat fruit all day, breakfast is ideal.
3. Eat at least three meals and snacks a day. This can be one of the most difficult adjustments. After all, you are busy! You already have a “full plate." When is it time to worry about filling your plate with more frequent meals? Just as eating breakfast improves your metabolism, it also helps you eat more often. Planning your snacks and consuming them regularly throughout the day also helps limit your intake of bad carbohydrates.
You only need to invest a minimal amount of time planning your trip to the grocery store and home each morning before you start your day to make healthy food choices and prepare nutritious snacks and meals.
